Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship (16-19)

The Role:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Mon – Thur 8.30am – 5.00pm
  • Friday 9.00am – 3.00pm
  • £10,000 per annum after one month assessment period
  • The preferred candidate will undergo a one month assessment period.

This will be paid at apprenticeship wage (£3.90per hour). After successful completion of this trial period, the role will progress to a salary of £10,000 for the duration of the one year apprenticeship period.

  • The Business Administration Apprentice is expected to perform a variety of business and day to day administrative duties.
  • Within this company, there is an excellent opportunity for progression. Many of our

successful apprentices are now working in full-time roles in Care Coordination, Finance and Administration.

Job Description

  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Assist with filing and ensure all Client and CareGiver files are kept up to date with regulatory compliance
  • Assist with recruitment process of new CAREGivers. This will include:
  • Assist with making reference calls on prospective CAREGivers in a timely manner
  • Process criminal background checks
  • Field employment enquiries from prospective CAREGivers and arrange for application process as needed

-Assist with billing processing, including client invoices and CAREGiver payroll
-Enter new CAREGivers and maintain existing CAREGivers in the Home Instead Software
-Assist recruitment and retention in scheduling and organizing CAREGiver training
-Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in the Home Instead Software
-Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems with owner or other staff members as appropriate
-Assist with co-ordination of CAREGiver schedules on a daily basis
-Assist with co-ordination and maintainance of monthly client schedules in Home Instead Software
-Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems with owner or other staff members as appropriate
-General office tasks including but not limited to, making tea/coffee, preparation of
office lunches when required, ordering stationery, running errands.

4. Skills Required
-Good communication and logical skills
-Can work in both a team environment and on your own
-Good at problem solving / troubleshooting
-The successful candidate will require working knowledge, and have experience
in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

written and oral communication skills, problem-solving ability, and have a desire to
learn and progress in administration within an expanding organisation then this is
the role for you.

Required qualifications – 5 Nat 4/5s at a minimum of Level 3 including
English and Maths or equivalent.
