Skills Development Scotland Apprentice of the Year 2017
Louise, who is dyslexic, has been completing her ICT Professional apprenticeship over the past few months whilst working 4 days a week in the Sixth Sense office as a systems administrator. Louise’s strong work ethic and passion for all things computer related meant she was an ideal candidate for the ICT apprenticeship.
Louise’s daily responsibilities see her cover various complex issues which keep the business running including working with the bespoke operating system in place at Sixth Sense, diagnosing and fixing technical faults in the office, investigating and correcting faults in customers data entries, providing IT and telecom support and developing the website through content development and using WordPress.
When Louise began her SVQ qualification, Sixth Sense Training were dealing with significantly fewer apprentice applications than we currently deal with today. This increase in apprenticeship applicants has meant Louise has had to put all her ICT training into practise to deal with the increased business demands and the company is currently thriving thanks to some of Louise’s innovative IT ideas.
All the team at Sixth Sense would like to wish Louise the best of luck in her quest to be crowned Scottish Apprentice of the Year 2017 and to remind her that regardless of the outcome, she is an asset to the team at Sixth Sense Training.
